Aftercare for Vasculyse

Do not touch treated area for a period of 24 hours after procedure. Coagulated blood vessel segments may open and cause capillary bleeding if skin is streched or rubbed.

When washing treated area refrain from using soaps and creams for a period of 24 hours. Do not use a facial cloth sponge or brush while cleansing as this may carry bacteria. Cleanse area gently with fingers and mild non fragrant soap after the first 24 hours until skin is completely healed.

You may use a cold compress 24hrs after procedure if skin feels tender or is red. Do not put ice or cold compress directly onto your skin. Insert compress or ice into a clean baggie and then place onto treatment area.

Refrain from strenuous physical activity and exercise for 48 hours following procedure. an increase in blood flow may rupture the coagulation of the capillary and cause treatment failure.

Refrain from taking aspirin for 48 hours following procedure.

Abstain from using saunas, hot tubs, whirlpools or swiming pools for 48 hours follwing procedure.

You may apply moisturizing cream to the area (coconut oil is recommended) 48 hours after the procedure and recommended until healing is complete.

Apply Sun Block to treated area and wear a brimmed hat for outdoor activities until healing is complete.

Avoid tanning until healing is complete.

You may wear make-up 48 hours after procedure. Apply foundations using clean fingers only. Do not use sponges as they contain bacteria.

Scabbing is normal and it is important not to pick or rub the treated area. Scabbing and flaking can take up to 3 weeks to fall off. Be Patient!
